Supervisor's Welcome

Welcome to the Town of Irondequoit. Our website is designed to provide accurate and easy-to-use information on Town services and programs.
For those of you who have chosen Irondequoit as your home, you already appreciate the qualities that make Irondequoit a special place.
Your Town government provides many important services such as police protection, street and sewer maintenance, and recreation programs, to name a few. As a result of a philosophy of innovation and cost-based management, your Town government is determined to provide services in the most efficient way possible.
Unlike many suburbs, Irondequoit has over 170 years of rich history since its incorporation in 1839. Our healthy neighborhoods are a source of pride in our community. They display almost all of the styles in American architecture of the 19th and 20th centuries.
Sidewalks connecting neighborhoods, major parks, spectacular waterfronts, popular festivals and recreation facilities, youth sports groups, nationally-recognized public schools, and the products and services provided by our large and diverse business community are just some of the things that make Irondequoit the best place to live.
The more than 51,000 residents of Irondequoit can be assured that the Town Board, staff, and I are proactive in taking steps to maintain and improve the quality of life in our Town.
The community we have does not happen by accident. Positive accomplishments are realized by the combined efforts of residents, businesses, community organizations, Town leadership, and dedicated Town employees.
You can be assured that together we can continue to work to make Irondequoit a special place.
Whether you are a resident or a visitor, we are happy to have you as a part of our community.
