Proposed Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRMs)
The U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) recently proposed revisions to the Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRMs) for all of Monroe County including the Town of Irondequoit. These new maps are preliminary but are more accurate than the current 1980’s vintage maps. Most of Irondequoit remains unaffected, however there are a number of changes throughout the Town. To view more information about floods and flood insurance, please click here. If you have questions about the revised maps, please call the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation at 518-402-8151.
